Berdasarkan Peraturan Walikota Malang Nomor 55\nTahun 2017 tentang Kedudukan Susunan Organisasi Tugas dan Fungsi serta Tata\nKerja Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Kota Malang Dinas\nKependudukan Dan Pencatatan Sipil Kota Malang mempunyai tugas membantu Walikota\nmelaksanakan kewenangan Daerah di Bidang Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber\nDaya Manusia, dan melaksanakan tugas pembantuan yang diberikan oleh Pemerintah\ndan \/atau Pemerintah Provinsi.
